A Very Nice Letter From A Reader

Hi,

I have been visiting your site and have signed the Guestbook a number of times. I wanted to say "Thank you" again. I also wanted to comment on your reflections regarding Mr Clinton. I am so disappointed in the way our country ,thru the senate, has dealt with this mess. Guess, lying is no longer anything to avoid. Sad, isn't it? what are we teaching our children? Greed is OK and lying to get what you want is also fine. It is nice to know there are people out there like you with the integrity and courage to stand up for what you believe. Thank you for being an example our children can look up to. Please keep up the good work.

Special Request Letter

Hi I know Ty lies, and I love Beanies, I won't ever give them up. I feel sorry for retailers, but I am not one, so I can't talk for them, but Ty is making me mad. There is one store near us that has "high priority," yet that is the ONLY store in the area that sells for high prices. I also have one thing to say, and I would appreciate it if you posted at the beginning of your site: WHEN STORES MAKE YOU BUY OTHER PRODUCTS THAN BEANIES TO GET BEANIES, OR SEVERAL CURRENTS TO GET NEW ONES, IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL ANTITRUST LAWS!

I have reported a lot of Beanie Babies retail stores to Ty for them not selling at Ty's suggested retail price of $5 to $7. Ty claims they will not support a Ty retailer that does not follow their pricing guide. They also claim that there are no Officially Authorized Ty Retail Stores in flea markets, but I know this to be a lie also. There is a Ty Retail Store in London Kentucky at Flea World on the south side of London on State Route 229. If you are going up or down I-75, check it out for yourself if it is a Saturday or Sunday in the hours of 9AM to 5PM. She will tell you the Bears there are secondary market beanies. She'll say she bought 6them in Lexington, but she never gets any good Beanie Babies in that aren't secondary market Beanies. Yeah, likely stiory. She also sells them way above Ty's pricing policy. Yet she will stand there and tell you that her booth is a Ty Authorized Retail Store, and her rep said what she was doing is OK.

Not only are all the stores still operating, but the managers are all telling me that their Ty Representatives are telling them that what they are doing is OK. I think Ty is telling the public one thing and their Reps and retail stores something else. I also know a man, who is conveniently from Illinois that has cases of Garcia, Princess, Maple, Libearty, Britannia, Clubby and others. I tried to let them know about that also, but their chief of security never called me back. Ty wasn't even interested in seeing how their product got out of their foreign warehouses to this man's house, or how he had obtained cases of retired Beanie Babies. (For all I know, he may be Ty Warner's brother using an alias.) I no longer believe anything that TY puts on their web site. I no longer care. I simply give you the facts and let you decide.

Ty says if it is too good to be true, it probably is. That's the way I feel about how conveniently they ran out of material for the Beanie Buddies. I admit they are beautiful and very plush. I would even have loved to collect a set at one time, but not now. I no longer believe that Ty does it for children to buy. I think it may have started out that way, and he decided more money could be made from a collectors market. I am now the little boy that grew up and realized the truth about Santa Claus. Oh yes, be sure and snatch up the Beanie Babies Official Club Kits that aren't selling. Ty just retired those too, but promises a new Club Kit early in 1999.

Thanks for listening to my ravings. I am not a lunatic madman, but as the WWF wrestler "Owen Hart" says, "Enough is enough, and it's time for a change.".

'NUFF SAID ?? ASTALAVISTA BABY !

Ty's Petty Threats

Ty is having his Legal Beagles, Welsh and Katz, Ltd., track down and threaten web sites that use the words Beanie™, Beanies™ Beanie Babies®, any pictures of the Ty Heart Logo®. Isn't that a crock? So if we now sell any of our Beanies in the newspaper, we would allegedly be liable for a law suit from Ty if we used any of the above trademarks or logos, as well as using any names belonging to the furry little critters. Has Ty lost his mind? One person in my guest book says it best. Ty is the playground bully and even though he can't sit in all the swings at once, he says they are his and won't let anyone else have any fun. This has gone from weird to totally absurd and ludicrous. Click the links below to see the actual letters to two sites.

Ty's Stupid Lawsuit Over Tag Protectors

What's so silly about this it Ty doesn't ship any of their Beanie Babies with Tag Protectors at all. They also do not hold the patent for the heart shaped tag protectors, someone else beat them to it. Just in case you don't know Ty stacks beanies on each other face to face and then stacks six pair in a plastic bag without any tag protectors. But part of this suit states the beanies were bagged with inferior tag protectors. What's up with that? Some comments I have received about my page say I'm crazy, but does this sound sane or make any sense at all?
